Customer Profile

The system uses the address below as the default address to register Inbound Numbers belonging the customer on the Emergency Services database. It is the customers responsibility to ensure this is correct as 999 dispatchers may use this infomation to dispatch emergency responders to. It is a legal requirement that all fixed line numbers are registered to the geographic location that they will be used from.

  • This address applies to all the SIP accounts and DIDs for the users assigned to the phone service, unless one of the users has been overridden with an alternative address.
  • This is a requirement by the emergency services in the event they receive a 999 call from one of the numbers/users on this installation.
  • When an account is registered to a smartphone/mobile device, it will not be possible for the emergency services to get the current location of the device through geo-location. Any of your end users connected to the service in this way should be made aware.

If any users are connecting to the service from a location different to the customer address, it is not recommned to use this service to call 999. However, the following should be arranged if possible;

  • Present a different number on outbound calls, this is done using the Outbound Number Presentation widget.
  • Update the address of the DID selected (CLI) for this account to match the geographic location of the user. This is done using the Inbound Numbers widget.
  • Ensure the number presented is routed to the correct users account. This is done in the Inbound Numbers widget.

The User Credentials section allows you to edit the username and password of the person responsible from within your company, for managing the installation. Please also ensure that the Contact Details are up to date for this individual.
